For all of my adult life I never smiled because my teeth looked terrible. Dr. Rutherford changed that almost ten years ago.  It did require major work--all of my teeth have crowns now,. He coordinated with a periodontist because my lower gums need major work before he could proceed. I have several friends who are retired dentists who tell me that Dr. Rutherford did a great job. Dr. Rutherford performed major reconstructive work for me a couple of years ago, coordinating his efforts with a periodontitis. The process took  two years and several office visits.   He was thorough  and clear in his explanations of the required procedures and  did remarkable work.  I am very pleased.  He is obviously highly skilled and I found both he and his excellent staff to be patient and courteous as well.  I have not  a single problem or issue with the work he performed and I continue to visit his office for routine examinations.

After visiting (3) other dentists, I was very fortunate to find Dr. Rutherford. The other dentists did not instill confidence and their prices were riduculous. For those of us who have implants and need reconstructive work, it is difficult to find a well-seasoned pro who can handle the most difficult dental issues. Dr. Rutherford finds creative solutions and works with oral surgeons to coordinate complex procedures.

His pricing is fair - especially considering the extensive amount of work he does. Additionally, he is not satisfied with the final outcome until you are. While at his office, he doesn't rush and gives you 100% attention. In case of a problem, he fits you in the next day. His staff is delightful. Dr. Rutherford is the "best of the best" for serious dental work. I wouldn't trust ANY other dentist in Sarasota for fair pricing and precision dentistry.
